If you've lost your phone or tablet, you can use the Find My Phone feature. This lets you remotely locate, lock, or erase data from your phone or tablet, so you can protect your security.

To use Find My Phone, your lost device must:

Be powered on and connected to the Internet.

Be logged in to your HUAWEI ID.

Have Find My Phone enabled.

*To enable Find My Phone, go to Settings, then log in with your HUAWEI ID and touch Cloud, then Find Device (or Find My Phone).

Using the feature

Log in

Go to cloud.huawei.com and log in with the same HUAWEI ID that you logged in with on your lost device. Then touch Find Device (or Find My Phone).

Locate your device

1) On the Find my phone screen, select the device you want to locate.

2) The device's location will appear on the map. If the device is online, the icon will be green. Otherwise, it will be gray, and you will not be able to remotely locate the device.

*If your device does not appear in the device list, it does not have Find My Phone enabled.

Play a sound and lock your device

  • Play a sound when your device is nearby

    When your device is nearby, you can make it emit a loud tone, which will make it easier to find. To do this, touch Play sound.

    *The sound will last for 2 minutes, or until it is muted. Avoid using this feature when the device is far away from you, because it will drain the device's battery faster and may cause it to power off.

  • Lock your device when it is far away

    1.Lock you device: To prevent unauthorized access of your device, you can lock it by touching Lock device and entering the lock screen password. You can then navigate to find your device.

    *If you haven't set a lock screen password, you'll be prompted to set one. (This applies to EMUI 5.0 and later versions.)

    2.Send a message to your lost device: For example, "Hi, I've just lost this phone. It contains information that is important to me. Please contact me if you are reading this message. Thank you so much! Contact me at: ..."

    3.Track movements: Once your device has been locked, you can track its movements over the last 24 hours on the map.

    *The blue location pins show where the device has been taken since it was locked. The large lock icon shows you the latest location. The dotted blue lines between locations show the route it has traveled between points. You can touch the location pins to check when the device was there.

Erase your data

If you think that your device might have been stolen, you can touch Erase data to wipe all data from the device.

*Erase data permanently deletes all data from your device, but will not affect the backups you have made to the cloud. After you touch Erase data, you can locate your device but you cannot lock it or play tones. Erased data cannot be recovered.

Enable Find My Phone now to protect your device.
