Once you have paired your HUAWEI phone to a Bluetooth device (accessories, wearables), they should automatically reconnect if Bluetooth is enabled. If this is not happening, please follow the troubleshooting steps below.

A headset or a speaker doesn't reconnect automatically

If the headset or the speaker is too far away from the HUAWEI smartphone it was paired with, it will disconnect and exit the pairing mode and it won't automatically reconnect to your phone.

To solve this, open the Settings on your HUAWEI smartphone, search for the Build number and tap on it several times until the message 'You are now a developer!' is displayed; if prompted, enter the lock screen password.

Return to Settings, search for Bluetooth auto-connect and enable this feature.

Make sure that the other device is within the effective Bluetooth range from your smartphone and restart it.

Re-enable  Bluetooth on the phone and check if the issue is fixed*. If the Bluetooth device still fails to reconnect, unpair it from your phone and then pair it again.

*If you are using Sony WI-C300 Wireless In-Ear Headphones, you need to touch the name of the headphones on the Bluetooth settings screen to manually reconnect them to your phone.

A Bluetooth car kit doesn't reconnect automatically

If an error message is displayed when your car tries to reconnect to your HUAWEI phone or the connection fails, it is possible that the Bluetooth car kit does not support automatic reconnection.

In this case, open the Settings on your HUAWEI smartphone, search the for Build number and tap on it several times until the message 'You are now a developer!' is displayed; if prompted, enter the lock screen password.

Return to the Settings, search for Bluetooth auto-connect and enable it.

Then swipe down from the status bar to open the notification panel and touch and hold the Bluetooth icon to enter the Bluetooth settings screen.

Make sure the name of the car kit is in the list of Paired devices and tap on it to reconnect.

On the Bluetooth car kit, search for the Bluetooth name of your smartphone and touch it to reconnect the two devices.

If the issue is not solved, delete the car kit from the Paired devices list on your phone and try pairing the two devices again.
