With the help of the Near Field Communication (NFC) technology, you can turn your HUAWEI smartphone into a credit card. Enable the NFC, download a payment app and make contactless payments easy and quickly.

You don't need a Wi-Fi connection, and certainly you don't need to have your card with you.

Enable or disable NFC*

Before making a payment, check that the NFC is enabled. Swipe down from the status bar to open the notification panel, then swipe down further to show all shortcut switches.

Tap on to enable or disable NFC. Touch and hold the icon to enter the NFC settings screen.

Another way to enable or disable NFC is from the Settings menu. Go to Settings > More connections > NFC and toggle the NFC switch on or off.

*Enable Read and write/P2P on the NFC settings screen if available. This feature may vary depending on your carrier.

Make contactless payments with NFC

If you have installed a payment app on your phone and enabled the payment service, you can make payments using the NFC feature.

After enabling NFC, on the NFC settings screen, touch Default app and select a default payment app. Remember to enable NFC payments in the payment app as well.

Whenever you want to pay something using your phone, simply hold the NFC sensor (located near the rear camera) of your phone against a POS terminal to enter the payment screen automatically.

Complete the payment with a password or fingerprint.
