The phone isn’t muted,

How to fix this problem?
Try these scenarios-based solutions.

No vibration or ringtone when a new message comes in

Please check whether you are using an incompatible third-party theme. If you have applied such theme, please go to Themes >Me>PRESET THEMES, select a theme, and touch APPLY.

Check whether you receive new messages during a chat on a chat App. If so, please exit the current chat App and check whether there is a vibration or ringtone when a new message comes in.

The screen does not turn on for new messages while the screen is off

Enable Wake screen

Open Settings , search for and access Wake screen under NOTIFICATIONS, and enable Wake screen.

No banner notification appears when a new message comes in

Open Settings > Apps > Apps, locate Messaging, touch Notifications > Do Not Disturb notifications and enable Banners.

Notifications are not displayed on the lock screen

First try step 2 to enable Wake screen. If the problem persists, please try the following methods:

Check whether Face Unlock has been enabled

To protect users’ privacy, the message content will not be displayed on the lock screen when Face Recognition is enabled.

If you do not want to hide the content, go to Settings > Security & privacy > Face Recognition, enter the password, and disable Smart lock screen notifications; or disable Smart Unlock on the interface of Biometrics & password.

*Reminder: Smart lock screen notifications is not available on EMUI 10.1/10.1.1 & Magic UI 3.1/3.1.1. Please refer to the actual situation; When Smart Unlock feature is disabled, this feature will not be available on wearables.

Check whether App Lock has been enabled

Go to Settings > Security > App Lock. Disable App Lock for the App.
