Wireless projection

Say goodbye to cables and wires! Now you can project presentations, games or videos directly from your Huawei device to an external display, using the Wireless projection mode. This feature allows you to connect your smartphone to a larger display via Miracast.

You can project the image from the phone's display to a compatible screen and even use your Huawei device as a PC, for a computer-like experience. Check with the manufacturer of your display the compatibility with the Miracast protocol.

If the external display supports Miracast, enable wireless projection on it (consult the user guide or the manufacturer's customer service on how to operate this). Otherwise, we recommend you to use a wireless HDMI adapter to connect the display to your phone (the adapter must be connected to a power supply).

Wi-Fi network

To enjoy this feature, make sure your smartphone is connected to a Wi-Fi network. If it is not, swipe down to open the notification bar and touch       to turn on the wireless network.

Then go to Settings,  →  tap More connections   →   and select Easy projection. Activate Wireless projection and wait for the phone to find a compatible display.

You can also enable wireless projection from the notification panel. Once the list of displays appears, select a display or the wireless HDMI adapter to start connecting.

You may have to accept the incoming connection request from the other device. Once your phone is connected to the larger screen, select the projection mode you wish to use. You can choose between Desktop and Phone mode.

Desktop Mode

The Desktop mode allows you to turn your device into an actual PC, so you can open apps, manage files or change the desktop wallpaper. Some apps are already optimised for this mode.

In this mode the phone becomes a touchpad, helping you to control a pointer on the larger display.

The display screen and the smartphone can be used independently, so you can privately check and reply to any notifications from the phone itself without interfering with the live connection.

Phone Mode

In Phone mode you can use the other display to project pictures, videos, games or presentations.

      This feature works with EMUI 9.0.
